I used to be the consummate workaholic and concentrated only on that. However, things have shifted for me a bit. I'm successful in my career and while I still enjoy its challenges and rewards, I'm at a point where taking time to smell the roses, enjoy life and not letting it pass by has become very important to me. I give 100% in anything that I do. My job requires a lot and I'm happy to give that. But I also put my heart into my friends, my hobbies and my babies (my dogs!) I am a caring and loving person. Those in my life know there's nothing I would not do for them. I'm also direct and to the point. I believe in God, Mother, and Country and I'm proud of who I am. I was raised in a small Texas down, have been in Texas all my life and do not intend to change that! I have been married, but don't have any kids. Maybe some see this as corny, trite, or just too old fashioned, but I still believe that there are certain ways a man should treat a woman. Trying to buy affection is worthless - true affection comes from time, trust, and chemistry. I believe in very open and honest communication. I think a man should open a door for a woman, and stand up when a woman enters the room. I want to meet someone that is the “compliment” of me. A person that shares a lot of the same values and beliefs, yet has interests of her own and who’s strengths counter my weaknesses and vice-versa. Someone I can pamper, but is independent.
